Isn’t sports betting illegal?
Nope. The legality relies solely on the sportsbooks end, the person taking the bets. While it is illegal for some sportsbooks in the U.S. to take your bets, there are a few exceptions. The casinos in Las Vegas and New Jersey, for example, have taken sports bets for years. But various other states are now starting to allow sports bets online. For the most part, it is legal to bet with a sportsbook because the laws are strictly for the sportsbook, not the bettor. For example, if you go to Fanduel.com to place a sports bet, they will let you know whether your state allows it. And that’s why overseas sportsbooks are so popular with U.S. bettors. They are beyond U.S. jurisdiction and few U.S. consumers have faced penalties for dealing with them. Somewhat shady still, let’s all hope for more legalized gambling within the states.
Is online sports betting safe?
It has been safe for decades. The U.S. based online sites will be 100% legit, with no worries about withdrawing funds or illegal activity. As for the foreign sportsbooks, there are many trusted sites that bettors use daily. Have deposited funds and cashed out of funds each year. The issue becomes if they get entangled in a wider probe into money laundering or other illegal activities. Then the accounts are frozen and you are stuck through the litigations as well, hoping to get your funds out. This is rare, however, and the best solution is to use multiple trusted online sources and keep minimum amounts in them at any given time.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
Absolutely. We take several forms of payment, including PayPal, MasterCard and Visa. And it’s all directly through WordPress.com. The Pay with PayPal option is built in their platform and we use it to collect payments, so it’s fast and secure.
How much money should I place on each bet?
The actual amount of money will vary from person to person, but I always caution less is more. With every bet, there is a high chance you can lose it all. Over time, we win more than we lose, but on any given single bet, there’s a 50-50 chance to end up as a total loss. So don’t bet so much money that one of these losses wipes out your account. I recommend no more than 5% of the capital you dedicated to betting in any one straight bet. And if we are talking about parlays, I recommend no more than 1%.
Do you place your own money on the bets you recommend?
