DSB Rundown: NFL is Back, Plus a Top Bet in MLB

Oakland Athletics

Don’t call it a comeback, but the DSB Rundown is new and improved.

Each day, we’ll run through the latest topics in the sports betting world. Then, we’ll include our “Pick of the Day” within this email.

With all the details you need to hit the ground running in one spot, we know you’re going to love it.

Today, we have to talk about the NFL. I mean, it’s so close to being back that last night almost did the trick. But it was still preseason. Then I’ll lay out your top bet between the Texas Rangers and Oakland Athletics.

So let’s dive in…

NFL is Back

It may be just a Hall of Fame preseason game between a bunch of backup players, but let’s face it. It’s been a while.

To me, it’s just a reminder the real thing is a mere weeks away and I’m pumped.

I say that out of the kindness of my heart, but “You’re not betting on the preseason, right?”

Seriously guys, if you think you have an edge in these games, some added insights about the rookie coming off the bench who is about to take over a game, then go ahead, bet a way. But, for most of us, these are games to stay far, far away from. Like lightyears away.

That’s because we know players are not exactly willing to go all out.

You had Claypool with the Steelers short arming passes over the middle because… drumroll please…. it’s just preseason. Then he laid out for one and got the wind knocked out of him.

These players are all starting to wake up, but trust me, no one is putting it all on the line for a meaningless game. At least no one that matters.

So sit back, enjoy the show. And get ready for week one that kicks off September 9th when the Cowboys visit the Buccaneers.

“Pick of the Day” MLB: Texas Rangers vs Oakland Athletics

Do you know what the average runs per game this season is? I do. It’s nine.

Nine runs is what the average MLB game produces. Some clearly go for more, but there’s also a good majority that go for less. So a great way to play it is when the odds get more than one run away from the average, and betting on the mean to return.

That’s the case in tonight’s matchup.

The Texas Rangers and Oakland Athletics are getting an 8 run over/under for tonight.

They’ve played 10 games between these two teams already and six have gone for eight or more runs. So they are not betting on fewer runs because these teams cant score. They clearly can.

Instead, the sports world is taking it as a series and looking for it to balance out with another low scoring game.

I’ll take the other side of that bet any day, with the odds on our side, it has made the list of our “Pick of the Day”.

If you want more great bets every day, check out our Elite Daily Bets section on the website. It has something for everyone and with our Money Back Guarantee, you literally have nothing to lose. Check it out.

Fanduel is paying out -110 for picking the combined score to come in over 8 runs. That means a $100 bet will have the chance to payout $90.91 or a 90.91% profit. If you are looking for an opportunity to win $100, you’ll need to bet $110 on this game.

For us to win, we need the combined score from both teams to equal 9 runs or more. If it adds up to 8 runs, the bet is canceled. And if it adds up to 7 or less, we will lose the bet.

That’s all for today.
