Trump Talks to Big 10
With college football set to ramp up this week, it’s without a few of the big conferences. President Trump would like to see more college football and he had a call with Big Ten commissioner Keven Warren about playing football as soon as possible.
When you step back and look at what is going on, none of it makes sense. How can some conferences play football, while others say no way? How can some schools have kids in the classroom while others say no way?
Enough is enough already, let’s get the world back to normal.
At first it was “slow the spread.” And America reluctantly closed down believing that.
Now it’s waiting for a vaccine and everyone’s tempers are running thin.
I’m ready for some college football, just wished all the colleges would get a chance to compete at the same time.
Super Bowl Ring Auctioned
Remember Josh Gordon?
He never won a Super Bowl while actively playing, but he was on a team that went ahead and won it without him – the 2018 New England Patriots.
After being suspended before the playoff run, he was reinstated and 2019 and the team gave him his ring.
A nice gesture, but clearly he needs the money more now instead of the bling.
Reports say he fetched $138,000 for the Super Bowl LIII ring at an auction. Not bad for a game he didn’t even play in.
A Kentucky Derby Without Fans
This Saturday the rescheduled Kentucky Derby is set to take place and will do so without fans for the first time.
It just doesn’t seem right, but it’s probably thanks to the governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear.
I mean, I’m going to movies, my kids are in schools, fans are being welcomed back at stadiums across the country, even Disney is opened. And yet the Derby has no fans.
At some point, as I mentioned with college football, the protocols are just ridiculous. I’m surprised they are even letting the horse around people. Has to be a health risk.
Tiz the Law is the favorite. Best of luck to anyone who wants to bet on the horses at the Kentucky Derby.
Fantasy Holdouts
They are meant to ruin your team. But you already know that.
We lived through Le’Veon Bell in 2018. This year we have potential holdouts in Dalvin Cook of the Minnesota Vikings and Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints. Both are being drafted in the top 20 picks, making them a serious concern.
Taking them at all becomes a risk.
At the end of the day, few of these holdouts make it as long as Le’Veon. Most come back to play, usually with that big contract. That seems to be the case with the two running backs this year. But if you are scared, there’s plenty of options in the first and second round to avoid any kind of drama that may come up.

The Miami Heat (+164) take on the Milwaukee Bucks (-196) for game two of the east semifinals. The Heat won game one by 11 points, but are still the underdog here tonight. It’s going to be battle. And it’s not going to be easy for the Bucks to get a win.
Then the Oklahoma City Thunder (+184) face the Houston Rockets (-220) for another game seven. The game seven last night was underwhelming as the offenses struggled most of the night. The Thunder won a potential elimination game in game six to stay alive, and now both teams will leave it all on the line.
A big underdog in the MLB is the Texas Rangers (+194) as they take on the Houston Astros (-230). It’s the first meeting between the Rangers and Astros this year and with the Rangers abysmal 3-11 away record, you can see why the Astros are a strong favorite. I don’t think the Rangers have a chance tonight either.
