Let’s dive in…

Boston Celtics Dominate Raptors

Last night was a phenomenal game, from the Boston Celtics point of view.

They did everything right. Shutting the Raptors down on defense and having their way on offense. It was an overall dominate performance to put them ahead 3-2 in the series.

It’s also the type of statement game that can knock the wind out of the opposing team. The Raptors will have a lot of tape to watch, but at the end of the day they just got manhandled by a better team.

Hard to bounce back from that reality.

We’ll see what the Raptors can muster up in tomorrow’s game six rematch against the Boston Celtics.

Stars Advance

On Friday, the Dallas Stars found a way to win in OT to advance past a top Colorado Avalanche team. I thought they had what it took to win it all, but they couldn’t beat Dallas.

Now the Stars have carried that momentum into another top-ranked team, the Vegas Golden Knights and grabbed a 1-0 win.

These games look a lot different than the shoot outs they had with the Avalanche. But, more defense is just what they need to manage games and take a well-rounded approach each night.

Dallas is the hot team in the NHL right now, don’t count them out.

Bucks Lost Giannis

Giannis Antetokoounmpo, the NBA’s reigning MVP, reinjured his sprained right ankle in game four. It is the type of player that when he’s not on the team, they look totally different.

And usually not as good.

But the Bucks rallied around the injury.

They found a way to avoid elimination and beat the Miami Heat. Trailing 3-1 now in the series, Giannis is listed as questionable for game five tonight (that could change at any minute).

But maybe it impacts the opposing team more.

After Giannis left the game, the Heat’s star Jimmy Butler said the team “relaxed a little bit.” As they relaxed, the Bucks got motivated from Giannis determination to stay competitive and try to come back into the game.

He’s likely done for the series, to let his ankle fully heal, and that’s going to make it even more painful to watch the Heat end the series tonight.

They are just too good of a team and now that they are mentally prepared, this is their game to lose.

Our Rundown today features four top matchups.

The Daily Sports Bets Rundown

Our “Pick of the Day” in the MLB between the Chicago White Sox (-156) and Pittsburgh Pirates (+136). This pick is an excellent opportunity to nearly double your money. If you want access to this elite pick and more every day, click here to learn more.

The first big matchup today is the Miami Heat (-142) vs the Milwaukee Bucks (+120). And even if the Bucks have Giannis, which I don’t see happening, I like the Heat finishing the series tonight. If they let Milwaukee win another, they will be gaining momentum and would be extremely dangerous at that point. This is their opportunity to knock them out.

Then we have game two between the Dallas Stars (+140) and Vegas Golden Knights (-165). Clearly the odds makers still have the Stars as the underdog after a slight victory in game one. We’ve seen this in all the playoffs. The odds makers stick to the favorite. But we’ve seen it with the Heat, as they start winning games, it builds momentum. This is going to be a great game, and the Knights likely bounce back. But in this series look for the Stars to steal a few more – if not the whole thing.

The second NBA game of the day is the surging Los Angeles Lakers (-210) and Houston Rockets (+176). The series is tied 1-1 after the Lakers had a strong game to bounce back. Now they will look to get a lead in the series for the first time with a win tonight. They are the favorite by five points but look out for Houston. They had a great game one and will figure out a better approach (including Westbrook playing better) in game three to stick around.

That’s all for now.
