Heading into tonight’s game, it’s the Stars with a three-game win streak after rallying to beat the Calgary Flames.
Dallas scored seven unanswered goals in game five to advance to round two.
The Colorado Avalanche have only a two-game win streak but scored seven goals in each game.
During the regular season, the Avalanche couldn’t beat the Stars for the life of them. They faced each other four times up till February, but it was all Stars.
Until the playoffs.
For the qualifier round, the Avalanche grabbed a solid 4-0 win against Dallas.
Now, they get to carry the momentum of back-to-back 7-1 wins to face the Stars for round two of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
It’s going to be a great game, there’s no doubt about it.
But, I’m going to put my money where my mouth is. I like the Avalanche. They have what it takes to advance past the Stars, and they are no stranger to putting up big points.
That’s why I’m taking Colorado to not only win tonight, but to cover the 1.5 points spread – they’ll win by more than one point.
