DSB Rundown: A Game 7 and Game 1, Plus Bucks and Giannis

DSB Rundown: A Game 7 and Game 1, Plus Bucks and Giannis

After a short break from NBA playoff games yesterday, it gets back into full swing today with a game seven and game one.

Today we’ll dive into those two matchups, plus how the Bucks are reacting after the Giannis drama.

Let’s get started.

Game 1: Heat vs Celtics

For the finals in the east we have a showdown between two red hot teams. The Miami Heat (+102) and Boston Celtics (-120).

The Heat have used their way to this point and now they get a top-notch matchup against the rising Boston Celtics.

Miami has already knocked off what could have been the top team to beat – the Milwaukee Bucks’ Almost everyone’s favorite before the restart, the Heat knocked them out in the semifinals.

After both team’s latest series, the Heat have had a week of pure rest. Focusing on their next game. This idle time can either be great for them as they game plan how to beat their upcoming opponent or make them cold out of the gate.

Boston had to go to game seven against the defending champs, the Toronto Raptors. Likewise, this could either make them tired only getting a couple of days for a break, or still in rhythm. We’ll find out tonight as they tip off for game one.

Game 7: Nuggets vs Clippers

This series has been an all-out brawl.

If you don’t have a dog in the fight, it’s been fun to watch. The Denver Nuggets (+260) go up against the Los Angeles Clippers (-120) for the second game of the night.

This is the third possible elimination game for the Denver Nuggets. It took two double digit comebacks to keep them in this series and force another game seven.

The Nuggets previous series in the first round against Utah took a similar path.

They fell behind 3-1 in the series, had to claw their way back to take a two-point win in game seven to advance.

A not-so-likely team to make it this far against the Los Angeles Clippers is looking to pull off the complete comeback to steal another game seven.

I don’t know who is going to win, but it’s going to be great to watch.

Giannis Trying to Breakup?

It looks like Giannis is trying to breakup with the Bucks.

He allegedly unfollowed all of his teammates on Instagram. That’s how you know it’s for real.

But the drama may be just getting started.

After a three-hour meeting with the top brass at the Bucks, they came to a conclusion – they’ll spend to bring other top players to help Giannis.

It’s probably music to Antetokounmpo’s ears. Bring in the all-stars to tag team with one of the best in the game.

As long as that’s the case, and the Bucks can retain Giannis for another year, look for the Bucks to automatically be the favorites to win the 2021 championship.
