All Day MLB Playoffs Baby! And a Little TNF

All Day MLB Playoffs Baby! And a Little TNF

The schedule is jam packed today with MLB games for the third day of playoffs.

We have six top matchups set to fire off starting at noon and going to a 10pm start. That’s a full day’s worth of action, all at an elite playoff level.

So far, we have seen historic upsets, underdogs winning and a few comebacks, but it’s only going to get better.

Our “Pick of the Day” is on one of these top games in the MLB, and here’s a surprise – we are rolling with an underdog. You may already know who it is from our Rundown the other day on the MLB, but it is one hot team that I expect to grab a win later today.

MLB Games All Day Long!

I have found that even if I don’t follow a particular sport all season, I can get into it during the playoffs.

The field starts winding down quick. Even though we had an expanded 16 team format, the best-of-three to start it off already has the Twins eliminated in historic fashion – their 18th playoff loss in a row.

It’s easy to see a few people getting fired from that organization by the end of the week.

Some other story lines are the Marlins, an underdog going into it pulling out a 5-1 win in game one. The Cardinals upset the red-hot Padres. The Blue Jays are already eliminated, as expected, the Twins were the shocker elimination.

Now, I just don’t see the Astros being a Cinderella team this year. The sixth seed in the AL will have to face the Oakland Athletics’ next if they can win today.

There’s a lot on the line with several elimination games lined up, and a few other potential ones if the right team wins.

Grab some popcorn, kickback and enjoy the entertainment! Because it falls apart with Thursday Night Football.

TNF Most Boring Ever?

The banged up 0-3 Denver Broncos face the abysmal 0-3 New York Jets.

And we thought the week two Bengals and Browns matchup was lame. Or the Dolphins and Jaguars. At this point, we’ll take any other matchup of the day for Thursday Night Football over the Broncos and Jets.

I mean, seriously, who cares.

One team will no longer be winless after this. But both teams are not going to the playoffs, let’s face it. The Broncos looked solid until they lost their quarterback and six starters already this season to injuries. Play their speedy running back Phillip Lindsay has been hurt too.

Jeff Driskel has done okay and Melvin Gordon II is still a good running back, so I think that gets them the win tonight because the Jets can’t get it together.

Sam Darnold is running scared in the pocket. As long as that remains the same, they won’t beat anyone.

The Jets are at home and the Broncos may be the worst team they’ll play all year. If they want to win a game, this is their chance. I’m willing to bet they blow it.

That’s all for today.
