It’s a Tuesday. What better to do than watch a potential World Series champ get crowned later today?
The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Tampa Bay Rays for a huge game six.
After beating the Rays in game five, the Dodgers are now just one game away from taking the crown.
Here’s what to watch for in tonight’s matchup…
Are We Set for a Game 7?
The World Series could end tonight, unless the Tampa Bay Rays force a game seven.
On Saturday night it was the Los Angeles Dodgers who took a one game lead and is now just one game away from being World Series champions.
The Tampa Bay Rays have been the underdog in each game this series, but have snagged two wins already.
With a chance to push it to an epic game seven, the Rays have no choice but to leave it all on the line tonight.
At pitchers, we are getting the same game two starters – where the Rays won 6-4.
Blake Snell, the lefty, will be the starting at pitcher for the Rays. He isn’t their top pitcher this season, but he helped give the Rays the win in game two pitching over four innings. The Dodgers only had two hits on him, but he also let up a home run which lead to two runs going in under his watch.
They’ll look for Snell to slow down the Dodgers again tonight.
The Dodgers are bringing out Tony Gonsolin, a righty, to start the game. He lead the way in game two. Even though they lost the game, Gonsolin only allowed one run, which was a home run, out of the six total runs the Rays got.
Los Angeles expects Tony to keep it a tight score while he is in, but he may not get more than an inning at the mound. Depends on if he allows another home run or not. They’ll turn to the bullpen for a chance to win the World Series.
It’s going to be fun to watch tonight. I think we see a higher scoring game than we did on Saturday and that favors the Rays. These guys can hit if they give them the opportunity.
The Los Angeles Dodgers (-138) are favored to win making the Tampa Bay Rays (+120) a slight underdog with the over/under pegged at eight runs.
Does it end tonight, or will the Rays force a game seven? We’ll have to watch to find out.
