Our “Pick of the Week” is on the biggest game of the day. An game six in the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.
Alright. I mentioned the Lakers would seal it in our Friday Rundown.
I was wrong.
Lebron, and big baby Davis, don’t have enough gas in the tank to get it done. Some impressive plays and moves, but it isn’t a dominant performance.
They are getting pushed around by a Miami team that is missing one of its best players.
Here’s what all that means for our bet tonight.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Miami Heat
Even with Lebron’s 40 points, it’s not enough to get the win and walk away a champion.
Part of that is relying on someone like Green to make the big shot. The buzzer beater that would have handed them the win. How does this not stay in Lebrons or Davis’ hands? I mean, c’mon. You have the chance to lift the trophy just putting down the bucket in those final seconds.
Yes, Lebron was triple teamed, but let’s move the ball around and get the shot you want. The one you call. If that’s it, then fine. He was open. He’s a shooter. He should have made it.
But it’s the championship game. Let Lebron hit his classic fadeaway. Let him hit a step back three to win it.
I know he is past his prime, but he’s still Lebron. Hit the game winner and it’s over.
Okay, enough of the rant.
Let’s give credit where credit is due. The Heat are balling, and Jimmy “Buckets” is getting it done.
I still wouldn’t bet against the Lakers tonight, not even on the spread. But our safest bet is on the over.
They have had elevated scoring in each game and that’s why I like the over of 215 points.
Three of their five games in this final series has gone for more than 215. I’ll bet that it does again tonight.
FanDuel is paying out -115 for taking the combined score to be over 215 points. That means a $100 bet will give you the chance at $86.96 in profit, or a 86.96% gain. If you want a chance to make $100 off this bet, you’ll need to risk $115.
For us to win, we need the combined score for both teams to be more than 215 points. If they combine for 215 exactly, the bet will be canceled and refunded. If they score 214 points or less, we will lose the bet.
Don’t forget we have at least four additional picks practically every day for our Elite Daily Bets packages.
