Our “Pick of the Week” is on a great NFL matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Las Vegas Raiders.
It’s football Sunday and time to bounce back from what may have been a 0.5 point loss for you last night.
The over/under on the Ohio State and Nebraska game was 69.5 when I sent in the details, but some lines had it at 68 or 69. The total ended up being exactly 69, so we lost by 0.5 points.
Later today we’ll have our “Pick of the Day” on the night game between the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. If you want access to this pick for the price of only one sports betting insight, click here to join today.
Let’s get right with our bet on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Las Vegas Raiders…
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Las Vegas Raiders
The 4-2 Buccaneers travel to Las Vegas to face the 3-2 Raiders.
Both of the losses for the Bucs have come on the road this year, leaving them 1-0 at home. They get more home games down the stretch, but it has been a difficult first few weeks.
The Raiders are 1-1 at home, beating New Orleans back in September and losing to the Bills three weeks ago.
There’s only two teams they both have played, the Panthers and New Orleans.
Each of them grabbed a win against the Panthers, with the Buc’s winning by a few more points, but it was the Raiders who beat New Orleans and the Buc’s that lost to them.
Going into today’s matchup, these are pretty even teams.
The Buc’s have allowed fewer yards showing they have a good defense, but they have also put up fewer yards.
Las Vegas is coming out with a potent offensive attack this season that I’m not sure the Buccaneers can slow down. Derek Carr is airing it out and has found a new deep threat in Ruggs, but it may be their starting running back, Josh Jacobs, who does the most damage in the trenches tonight.
His aggressive, but elusive running style will prove to be too much for Tampa today.
Tom Brady is far from washed up. His wide receiving corps have been banged up all year and he still has impressive numbers.
They are going to need those tonight to keep up with the Raiders. He has Mike Evans and Chris Godwin healthy tonight, their two best wide receivers.
Coming off what could either be considered a dominant defensive performance against the Green Bay Packers, who an off night for Rodgers, they get another test by the Las Vegas Raiders in this one.
Because the Raiders are coming off an even bigger game. They went into Kansas City, the defending Super Bowl champs who were undefeated and handed them a 40-32 defeat.
If you needed a win to spark your season, that was in.
They had back-to-back losses before that big game and will look to keep it rolling at home against the Buc’s.
I like the Raiders to at least cover the spread in this one, of +5.5 points.
FanDuel is paying out -110 for taking the Las Vegas Raiders +5.5 points. That means a $100 bet will give you the chance at $90.91 in profit, or a 90.91% gain. If you want a chance to make $100 off this bet, you’ll need to risk $110.
For us to win, we need the Las Vegas Raiders to either win the game, or lose by five points or less. If they lose by six points or more, we lose the bet.
