MLB is back, and I’m pumped to watch the opening day games tonight. But, Anthony Fauci with the opening pitch, really?!?
This guy doesn’t have a clue. Hasn’t had a clue, has gone back and forth and stood in front of the American people try to scare citizens into an economic lockdown.
Shut down for two weeks and it will be fine.
Shut down until’ we have a vaccine and it will be fine.
Wear masks 24-7 and it will be fine.
If these are the kinds of decisions a doctor can make, then I have good news, we all have what it takes to be a doctor. Because Fauci is not performing opening heart surgery on anyone – the only kind of doctor I care about.
And I don’t trust him with my life, or the opening pitch.
I think it’s a joke to have him on the mound. I know celebrities’ are thin around Washington, with all of the politicians, but this guy has been a joke since day one.
The sooner Fauci is out of the headlines, the better we will all be.
Enough with Fauci, Back to Sports
Rant over. Because regardless of him throwing the opening pitch, like I mentioned in the Rundown yesterday, we don’t let politics ruin the game.
Our “Pick of the Day” coming out later in a few hours is all about the New York Yankees (-130) and Washington Nationals (+114) first game of the season.
And there’s still time to get it right away.

With our “Pick of the Day” on the first MLB game, our Rundown will focus on the MLS and the second MLB game. But we’ll have more games next week as the NBA tips off.
The Daily Sports Bets Rundown
The first game of the day is Chicago Fire (-200) vs Vancouver Whitecaps (+430). I agree with the odds here. The Fire are the better team. And I know +430 is tempting, but not worth it. Our picks in the MLB have been way better opportunities than taking the underdog here.
At 8pm the LA Galaxy (+145) face the Houston Dynamo (+130) is about as even as it gets. The Dynamo has had their number in recent years, but the Galaxy is gunning for them this year. A draw is also not out of the question, and may be the best risk/reward bet tonight.
The final MLS game of the day is Los Angeles FC (-180) and the Portland Timbers (+360). The Timbers plus 360 is a huge underdog here, not sure it makes sense. I’d lean slightly towards LAFC, but -180 isn’t worth the bet. This is a matchup I’d pass on.
PGA Tour 3M Open tees off this morning and the field is long. It’s anyone’s guess who wins this, but when you get to the top 5, 10, 20, or 30, no we are talking. Maybe a guy like Mathew Wolf making a top 10 finish (+220). Personally, I prefer sports that last hours, not days. So best of luck on these bets.
The second MLB opening game is San Francisco Giants (+260) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (-310). Another great opening day matchup. Our “Pick of the Day” was on game numero uno, This game has a big favorite in the Dodgers, the favorite right now to win the World Series. And they will win tonight. To get better odds, taking them -1.5 pays out a decent -144.
