Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Boston Bruins vs Toronto Maple Leafs

In a first round matchup for the NHL playoffs, the Boston Bruins will host the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second year in a row.

It’s a rivalry that is gaining traction.

Playoff Rivalries!

The two teams faced off four times in the regular season, resulting in three wins for Boston and one win at home for the Maple Leafs.

They also played in the first round last year, making in the second year in a row where they face off to advance to the second round. The Bruins won the series last year and are the favorites to do so again this year, and the regular season indicates the same outcome.

Since Boston gets to start at home, they have a significant advantage in the first round of the playoffs, but the Maple Leafs are eager to overcome that advantage and pull off an upset.

In the four matchups this season, the Bruins won by more than one point in two of their games, both at home. They won 3-2 at Toronto, and lost one early in the season in a 4-2 loss at Toronto.

Since this is a home game, I give extra weight to the home games for Boston, where they dominated the Maple Leafs in both games.

They are giving them 1.5 points, and paying out +170 at FanDuel, or a 170% gain if we win the bet.

For every $100 bet, the profits stand to be $170.

I expect the Boston Bruins to take advantage of the home field start by getting a solid win by at least two points. Anything closer will give momentum to the Maple Leafs, which is exactly what Boston can’t let happen.

We’ll see how we do with these two NHL picks from today and tomorrow and see which playoff matchups we’ll focus more on in the coming weeks, the NBA or the NHL.

To profitable bets,

Ryan
