We have two bets today for the MLS double header.
It’s slim pickin’s in the sports betting world, and no one really knows how the “bubble” environment will work out.
We know they are being served shi*t sandwiches for athletes. I mean common, these guys need to fuel up to be in tip-top shape.
Either way, we want to be here to help guide you as the games get underway, which is why we are providing analysis on both MLS games today – New York City vs Philadelphia Union and Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution.
MLS Double Header
Game #1 – New York City vs Philadelphia Union
This is a 9am Est game by the way, on a Thursday – that’s nuts.
While they may be asleep going onto the field, there’s still plenty of betting opportunities.
They only squeezed in two games before the season was shutdown, we know that Phili has found the net. New York City, not to be confused with the New York Red Bulls, hasn’t scored yet. Tougher opponents, but they could be stuck in a dry spell.
I’m taking Philadelphia Union to win in Orlando. FanDuel is paying out +190 for Philadelphia Union to beat New York City. If you bet $100, you could win $190. If you are looking to win $100 on each bet, you could wager just $53.
Game #2 – Montreal Impact vs New England Revolution
Five months later and they meet again. After the season opener in Montreal, they are first to play against each other in Orlando.
While it is technically back-to-back meetings, the five month break allows for some freshness to the matchup. Both teams were missing players in February, adding to the differences tonight.
But odds makers are giving little hope to a repeat win for Montreal.
New England is given the clear favorite here. It’s going to be a tough matchup, but Montreal had their number in February. Anything can happen in the bubble (that may be my new slogan) but I’m going with Montreal, the underdog.
FanDuel is paying out +240 for the bet. That means a $100 bet will net you a $240 payout if Montreal wins. If you want to win $100, you only need to risk $44 on this bet.
