Tonight’s “Pick of the Day” is back in the Big Ten conference as Iowa and Purdue get ready to throw down.
We had success with last nights Big Ten game, as Penn State pulled off the upset and easily covered the spread. Our two NBA picks split, one winning and one losing.
But we are back in the Big Ten tonight with a matchup between the Iowa Hawkeye’s and the Purdue Boilermakers.
Iowa vs Purdue – Big Ten Matchup
It’s a big night for a possible shakeup in the Big Ten conference. The Iowa Hawkeye’s are ranked 17th in the nation, while the Purdue Boilermakers are not far behind.
Just a two game difference in the conference, a win tonight for Purdue would bring them within one game of a top ranked team. Though this says more about Iowa, and will drag their ratings lower if they fail to win.
And that’s exactly what odds makers are betting on. The home team, Purdue, is favored to win by 4.5 on FanDuel.
But I think these lines will tighten as the game approaches.
Iowa is on the road, but they are clearly the better team. Again, I’m not going as far as saying they will win, but this game could easily be decided in the final seconds and be within four points.
That’s why I’m taking Iowa plus 4.5 points.
