The Miami Marlins return home to attempt to bounce back in an even matchup against the San Francisco Giants.
Our bet last night on the first game in the Stanley Cup Finals paid off. We had the over of 5.5 points paying out +120 and the total went to 6 points. It was close, but we still walked away with a win.
Today’s bet is once again on the over/under. This matchup, FanDuel is listing it at 7.5 points, relatively low for a baseball matchup.
These two teams have been struggling, but they are both itching for a breakout game. The Miami Marlins are coming off of a road stretch where they lost three of four games against the Washington Nationals. The San Francisco Giants are coming off of a home stretch where they lost three games straight to Arizona.
While both teams have struggled offensively, facing the opponents weak defense in both cases are an opportunity for a breakout game.
Even though the Marlins have home field advantage, it hasn’t really offered an edge this year. That’s why this matchup is considered even on the books – it’s anyones game at this point.
So we’ll stick with the over/under, taking the over of 7.5 points. This is paying out -110.
