The Murray State Racers face the Florida State Seminoles in the second round of the NCAA tournament. It is set to be a great matchup after Murray State topping five seed Marquette on Thursday.
UVA snapped our 60% win rate over the last five games. At halftime, it was looking like a repeat of last year, with UVA down six. But with a minute left in the game, they pulled to a 21 point lead. It narrowed in the last minute and we lost the bet. We’ll make it up with our bet today.
The Ja Morant Bandwagon
I have to admit, after the stunning 19 point win over Marquette, Ja Morant is fueling the racers to new heights.
As they face Florida State, they are clearly the underdog, but giving them five points seems a little steep. Murray State is going to take this down to the wire.
Morant had the first triple-double in the NCAA tournament since 2012, and he gave all the credit to his teammates.
This is a kid ready to shine in the spotlight. It will take another phenomenal performance, but this is the time for it to happen. I wouldn’t go as far as calling for Murray State to win, though it is possible, I like them to keep it close at the end.
The books are giving a bet on Murray State +5 at -110, meaning a $110 bet would net a $100 payout. I expect Murray State to lose by five points or less. If you can find a higher point spread, then take it. Anything more than five is better.
