Nebraska, meanwhile, is carrying a twelve game losing streak into the huge home matchup.
A win tonight saves a lot of humiliation for the Cornhuskers, meanwhile the Buckeyes are trying to hang onto a top-spot in the country. A loss tonight will move them out of the top 25.
A Lot on the Line for Nebraska Cornhuskers
Needless to say, there’s a lot on the line tonight.
These two met over a month ago, and Ohio State coasted to a 12 point win. Tonight, Ohio is a 9.5 point favorite.
Don’t sleep on Nebraska though.
While they have struggled badly this year, they have some pieces to pull off the upset in this game.
They’ve showed some life, with losses of just three points and two points on the road against the 24th ranked Rutgers and 9th ranked Maryland.
Those were big games to go in and play well.
They have Ohio at home in this game, and I’m willing to take the Cornhuskers +9.5 points as a lock today.
It’s early, and they don’t have the odds yet for picking the upset, but that is a bet I’d place for fun as well – a long shot, but this is a great time for a huge upset (at home, divisional rival, ending a 12 game win-streak).
