“Pick of the Day” CFP National Championship: Georgia Bulldogs vs Alabama Crimson Tide

Here we go!

It’s that time of the year, with the college football National Championship tonight, wild card week next week, and what is sure to be another historic Super Bowl for the books.

Tonight, it’s all about the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide.

Two teams that have shown time and time again, they deserve this spot. Even though Alabama has already beat Georgia once this year, on December 4th, they get another crack at Bama today.

If it was up to me, stuff like this shouldnt be able to happen, where the teams had just met in the regular season before having a chance to face off in the championship. Start the playoffs earlier, expand them, or adjust the ranking system.

All the drama aside, this is going to be a great game. And you can’t count out the Bulldogs just yet.

Here’s the top bet to place…

So here’s what we are dealing with.

Bama beat Georgia 41-24 just over a month ago to wrap up the regular season. Then they steam rolled Cincinnati 27-6 in the playoffs to get to another championship game.

But, we have the sharp money and a few experts willing to take Georgia -3, which is shockingly the favorite for the rematch.

But, they are only seeing 39% of the popular bet, and even less money at just 33%.

The money line, which is paying out +120 for Alabama and -135 for Georgia, is split down the middle, with a slight edge towards Georgia with 55% of the money, and just 50% of the total bets.

You also have an over/under bet that sits at about 53 points.

Their first game in December went to 65 total points. So they are expecting this one to get reeled in a bit, and it looks like the sharp money and expert picks are going against the grain again, taking under 53 points while only 29% of the popular bet and 36% of the money, is on the under.

The over saw 71% of the popular bet and 64% of the money.

Now, if you are like me, you’ll go for the teaser, likely lock in a winning bet and enjoy the game.

So here’s the bet to place.

I like tilting this to the over. Georgia scored 24 points last time. They just scored 34 points on Michigan and have a tendency to put up big points even against top ranked teams.

And Bama is not shy to score, so let’s go with that edge and take the over, plus a six point teaser. At 52.5 points according to Fanduel, that gets us down to an over/under of 46.5 points. And we’ll take the over.

Then I like Bama plus the points. I think this one could come down to the final score. Right now, Bama is getting 2.5 points.

So a six point teaser moves that line to 8.5 points in Bamas favor. That pretty much covers any last second game winning scores, plus if they pull off the upset, we can hit on that as well.

Sportsbooks are paying out -120 for taking a six point teaser on the over at 46.5 points (was 52.5 points) and Alabama plus 8.5 points (was 2.5 points). That means a $100 bet will have the chance to payout $83, or a 83% profit. If you are looking for an opportunity to win $100, you’ll need to bet $120 on this game.

For us to win, we need both outcomes to hit. We need the total score to add up to 47 points or more and we need Alabama to either win the game or lose by 8 points or less. If the score is 46 points or less, or Alabama loses by 9 points or more, we will lose the bet.

That’s it.

Now you can sit back, enjoy the show, and likely collect a decent payout at the end of the night.
