“Pick of the Day” F1: Top Bets in F1 Tonight

I promised I’d be back with some F1 bets tonight.

With everything going on, UFC, MLB, NHL, NBA and more, racing can get swept under the rug.

But it’s a great place to win some bets.

Qualifying is done so we already know Leclerc in the Ferrari is on pole, with Verstappen’s Red Bull alongside him.

Before you get started, make sure you have all the betting options available to you. A great book is Bovada. And they have an awesome offer for new bettors. Just click below to take advantage of it.

TOP BETS IN F1

One thing about these bets, is they are all basically a flier. No sure thing with these. An accident or malfunction can throw things off at any time.

With that said, I like placing multiple bets with a few key thoughts as my backdrop. Bets that could pay out in various scenarios.

I’ll be focused on watching Lewis Hamilton. Him, and Mercedes, have been the top team for years now. And many felt they were robbed of the championship last season.

He hasn’t had a pole position yet and is +2,500 today to finish on pole. It’s a long shot, but he has moved up to fifth after qualifying, which is well within striking distance for Hamilton if things begin to click with his car once again.

A strategy I’m implementing, and it started with this race, is to take the long shot odds for him to be back at the top of the podium. He’s due for another win any race now. I took a flier on it today, not expecting much, but will follow up with an early bet (before any qualifying) on him to be on pole until he makes it happen.

I know he’ll be back up there this season, just stay patient.

For more betting options, BetUS is another book worth checking out.

As for the favorites, I like Max Verstappen and the Red Bull to finish strong. They’ve had the fastest cars on the tracks so far. Even with Leclerc starting ahead, that could be a mute point by the end of turn one.

So I’m not worried about it.

I like Verstappen as the favorite to win, and Perez (the other Red Bull driver) destined for a podium finish with Leclerc on the podium as well. That order, which is basically the favorite, would pay out +2,000. Any order for those top three pays out +350.

Those are more along the lines of expectations.

Playing on a surging Hamilton, a podium finish pays out +275.

I like another four way bet that is set up in Bovada. Not many sports books let you parlay these bets, so you have to play off the options they have.

This one has Hamilton to win, Russell in Mercedes on the podium, Norris in the top six and Albon in the points (top 10). This is a huge stretch. But it pays out +75,000. So a small bet is worth a shot on my expectations that Mercedes pick up the pace, maybe get lucky from an accident in the field, who knows.

A more reasonable grouping, that I fully expect to pay out, is Hamilton in top six, Leclerc, Sainz, Verstappen, Perez and Gasly points. That is +300 if everything can happen, and it can. I like this one the most.

A few head-to-head battles, just take the bait. Bottas -350 to beat Zhou and Leclerc -400 to beat Sainz.

I’ll take it.

Again, your sportsbook may have different options. Work off the basic outlook, knowing Red Bull and Ferrari (in that order) are the fastest cars and go from there.

To profitable bets,

Ryan
