Minnesota Twins vs New York Yankees
The Yanks are riding a six game win streak at home tonight. They just won four of those games at home and with a visiting Minnesota team rolling with John Grant at the mound to start, I’m liking the odds of the Yankees adding one more to the win streak.
They have beat the Twins two of the three matchups this year, winning each by a comfortable margin, three runs in one and four runs in the other.
Minnesota was able to win one game at home, but I don’t think they have a chance tonight.
New York is looking to close the gap with the top ranked Rays in the AL East. They need to keep posting wins just to keep pace, sitting five games behind. Meanwhile the Twins are battling to stay out of last in the AL Central division.
It’s a must win for the Yankees due to the matchups tonight.
So I’m taking the Yankees with an alternate run line of 2.5 runs.
