“Pick of the Day” NCAAF: Arkansas Razorbacks vs Georgia Bulldogs

“Pick of the Day” NCAAF: Arkansas Razorbacks vs Georgia Bulldogs

That was a rough one last night.

Maryland was hanging right along with them at first, then their star receiver, Dontay Demus, went down on a kick return with a bad leg injury.

To top off losing one of your best players, he fumbled the ball where Iowa could turn around and get a quick touchdown.

Things went downhill from there, with five more turnovers and ultimately getting spanked on Friday night football.

It’s injuries and a few plays that can really tip the tables of any game.

We’ll stay with college football today with a battle of the giants in #8 Arkansas Razorbacks and #2 Georgia Bulldogs.

#8 Arkansas Razorbacks vs #2 Georgia Bulldogs

This is the game of the day. On a slate full of great matchups, #8 and #2 will always draw a show.

The Razorbacks have surprisingly move dup in the ranks, after knocking off 15th ranked Texas by holding them to just 21 points. Then battling out #7 ranked Texas A&M by holding them to just 10 points.

They’ll put their defense to the test against Georgia, who held Clemson on opening day to just a field goal, and only allowed 23 total points in four games.

Both teams have stout defenses and complimentary offensive approach focused on limiting turnovers to go along with it.

In Arkansas, I think this could be an even better game. In Georgia, I’d bet the Bulldogs win it outright.

But the spread makes it interesting.

At a 16.5 point dog, the Bulldogs will have to win by more than two touchdowns to cover it.

They beat Clemson, who was #3, by 7 points and haven’t played a ranked opponent since.

This is also Arkansas first road game of the season. You never know how that affects them. But they have some seniors out there on defense that will look to travel well and keep them in the game to the fourth quarter.

So I’m not expecting a blowout and a 16.5 point win would be pushing blowout limits. Even a few garbage points would help keep Arkansas within that spread, but I’m expecting a close one all game.

I’ll take Arkansas plus 16.5 points.

Fanduel is paying out -110 for picking the Arkansas Razorbacks plus 16.5 points. That means a $100 bet will have the chance to payout $90, or a 90% profit. If you are looking for an opportunity to win $100, you’ll need to bet $110 on this game.

For us to win, we need the Razorbacks to lose the game by 16 points or less, or win. If they lose by 17 points or more, we will lose the bet.
