Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs
It’s the first real test for the Bills, who lost the season opener to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
They are going on the road to a Kansas City team that is still scoring practically at will behind Mahomes and a thriving Tyreek Hill.
Buffalo has a top ranked defense, but that’s against teams like the Dolphins and Texans. Not winning teams that can move the ball like the Chiefs can.
But the Bills know this.
They put up huge wins against those teams and don’t expect another easy win tonight.
The Chiefs also know that on their best day, they are unstoppable.
So the question is which team do we get tonight?
I think we are in for a great game, as the Bills offense is not one to discount either. It could be a shootout, with an over/under at 57, the odds makers are looking for a 30-27 kind of game.
The Chiefs are the home favorites, by three points.
But after seeing them lose to the Chargers and Ravens, and only wins over the Eagles and the Browns, I’m not sold 100% just yet.
I’ll take the Bills plus three. And with their defense, and a big Sunday night game, I’m expecting the Ds to step up on both teams keeping it under 57 points.
For our bet though, the one that is more likely to pay out is pushing those two bets into a teaser by adding six points in our favor to each spread.
Sportsbooks pay out -120 for using a six point teaser on the Buffalo Bills plus nine points (was three points) and the total score to be under 63 points (was 57). That means a $100 bet will have the chance to payout $83, or a 83% profit. If you are looking for an opportunity to win $100, you’ll need to bet $120 on this game.
For us to win, we need both results to work out.
We need the Buffalo Bills to lose by eight points or less, or win the game. If they lose by exactly nine points, it will be tied on this half of the bet and canceled one leg. If they lose by 10 points or more, we will lose the bet.
We also need the total combined score to add up to 62 points or less. If it is exactly 63, the bet is tied and will be canceled on this leg. If it adds up to 64 points or more, we will lose the bet.
If either of those lose, we will lose the overall bet. That’s how a teaser works.
