What a wild weekend of football. So many upsets I didn’t see coming, and some I did, like last nights Titans performance.
But the most talked about subject should be the Manningcast Curse. So far, every player who appears on their Monday night Manningcast have lost the next weeks game.
I thought it was over this week, because Josh Allen and the Bills had what many thought would be a bye week against the bottom ranked Jacksonville Jaguars.
That wasn’t the case.
Josh Allen had what will likely go down as the worst performance of his career in a 9-6 loss.
The Bills didn’t even score a touchdown.
And the crazy thing, all of the teams that lost after appearing on the Manningcast, were the favorites. A simple $10 bet on the first game, rolled into each of the next games, would be up to $118,000 right now – no joke.
There’s no Manningcast tonight, but we still have a great game of football being played. That will be the matchup we are betting on tonight, the Chicago Bears against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chicago Bears vs Pittsburgh Steelers
The Bears and Justin Fields has struggled this season. But he’s a rookie. On a pretty bad team. On the other side, we have a veteran, who is playing some pretty bad football, but he is on a solid team.
Therefore, the Steelers at home, are favored by seven tonight.
But, out of Pittsburgh’s four wins this season, only one has been more than seven points, against Denver and they won by eight.
So the odds makers expect Pittsburgh to deliver their best win of the season tonight basically over a rising Bears team.
The Bears, just 3-5, lost to the 49ers last week but led with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter. More importantly, Justin Fields looked comfortable. It was his highest completion percentage since being a starter. Remember, Andy Dalton was the started before getting injured.
Now, not only is Justin Fields more comfortable in the pocket, but he is finding his legs in the NFL, with 10 rushes for over 100 yards last week against the 49ers. He hasn’t had more than 50 yards rushing all season but is a dynamic ability he needs to unlock.
He doesnt need to run all over the place, but the mere threat of his running ability will keep opposing defenses in check.
I’m expecting a fun one tonight, but I don’t give the Steelers a seven point win. I like the Bears to potentially pull off an upset, but at the very least to keep it close til the end. I’ll take the Bears plus seven points.
