“Pick of the Day” NFL: Denver Broncos vs Cleveland Browns

It’s Thursday night football.

We are coming off a tough loss in college football, after our bet was upset by the upset last night.

But, this one pick tonight is my favorite in the NFL for this whole week.

As the Denver Broncos travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns, there’s only one way to play this matchup – with a teaser.

There’s a ton of games today, and great bets.

Denver Broncos vs Cleveland Browns

We have a depleted Browns team looking to hold onto their season early. They’ve lost two back-to-back and feel like this is a must win at home.

But Denver, and a bruised up Teddy Bridgewater, are coming off three straight losses and feel the same sort of desperation.

That’s going to make for a great game tonight, but there’s no way I’d pick the Browns to win. Case Keenum is a wild card and not one I’d bet on. Without their two starting running backs, the Bronco defense should have their way attacking Clevelands front four.

So we like the Bronco’s, especially plus seven like we get when we add a six point teaser.

But what about the over/under.

It’s at 40.5.

A pretty even of the road kind of number. This one could swing either way. But knowing how desperate both teams are, the defensive struggles for the Browns and the ability for points to flow, I like taking the over. Not on 40 points. But one 34.5, which is what our six point teaser gets us to.

At that point, we just need 35 points to hit.

Their average points per game is well above 40. I know, a banged up Browns team won’t put up the same kind of numbers, but Denver also doesn’t have as much tape to prepare. Keenum could easily throw a pair of touchdowns tonight.

That’s why we’ll take a teaser on the Bronco’s plus seven points and the over on 34.5 points.

Sportsbooks pay out -120 for using a six point teaser on the Denver Broncos plus seven points (was 1 point) and for the total score to come in over 34.5 points (was 40.5 points). That means a $100 bet will have the chance to payout $83, or a 83% profit. If you are looking for an opportunity to win $100, you’ll need to bet $120 on this game.

For us to win, we need both results to work out.

We need the Denver Broncos to lose by six points or less, or win the game. If they lose by exactly seven points, the bet is tied and this leg of the bet is canceled. If they lose by eight points or more, we will lose the bet.

We also need the total combined score to add up to 35 points or more. If it adds up to 34 points or less, we will lose the bet.

If either of those lose, we will lose the overall bet. That’s how a teaser works.
