I know our “Pick of the Days” haven’t been hitting lately, so let’s try something a little different tonight, and it’s one of my favorite ways to bet. It’s called a teaser bet.
This is where we’ll make at least two picks, and tease it by adding six points in our favor to the bet. In return, we have two picks that will ultimately pay out about -120 depending on your sports book.
Basically, we pay for better odds. To create our own lines tonight, we are increasing our chances of a profit, even if we have to get both picks right.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New England Patriots
A father vs son matchup tonight, as Brady walks back into New England ready to take on his former coach, Bill Belichick.
And Tom Brady is set to pass the all-time passing record tonight, in Foxboro, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All kinds of historic goodness going down.
But we are simply looking to make money.
And if there is any coach who knows Tom Brady’s strengths and weaknesses, it’s Bill Belichick. This could be a tough one for Tom to have his way with.
I’m not expecting the Patriots to outright win, but they could keep it closer than expected.
And given the knowledge between the two teams, with a coach and quarterback going to battle, I’m expecting the total scoring to be limited.
Right now, the Buccaneers are favored by seven points. The over/under sits at 49.5 points.
So here’s what we can do.
We’ll tease the two picks, spread and over/under, by taking the Buccaneers to win, which with a six point teaser comes down to just one point. And we’ll take the under on 49.5 points, which with a six point teaser, brings the over/under to 55.5.
Both spreads are moved six points in our favor as we take the Buc’s to win by one and the score to come in under 55.5.
As a result, our teaser will pay out -120.
This is our best bet to profit from the matchup tonight.
Sportsbooks py out -120 for using a teaser on the Buccaneers to win by one (was 7 point favorite) and total score to be under 55.5 (was 49.5 points). That means a $100 bet will have the chance to payout $83, or a 83% profit. If you are looking for an opportunity to win $100, you’ll need to bet $120 on this game.
For us to win, we need both results to work out. We need the Buccaneers to win by two points or more. If they win by one, it will tie this half of the bet. If they lose, we will lose our overall bet.
We also need the total combined score to add up to 55 points or less. If it adds up to 56 points or more, we will lose the bet.
If either of those lose, we will lose the bet. That’s how a teaser works.
