Portland Trailblazers Welcome the Indiana Pacers

Portland Trailblazers Welcome the Indiana Pacers

Our matchup breakdown today is on the Portland Trailblazers hosting the Indiana Pacers. They tip off at 10:30est tonight.

Before we discuss the matchup, let’s recap our latest call, with Prairie Panthers topping the Grambling Tigers by more than 3.5 points. Prairie pulled away a 10 point win, easily covering the spread. Nice work on picking our second straight win in a row.

We’ll continue to add to it today with our pick on the Indiana Pacers vs the Portland Trailblazers.

An Even Matchup on the Surface

On the surface, this matchup looks about as even as it gets.

Both teams are sitting in second in their respective division. They are just a game and a half different based on records.

The Pacers are number one in points allowed, but 21st in points per game. Portland is in the middle on both, at 14th for points allowed and 8th in points per game.

The last time these two teams met was back in the first month of the season, October 29.

It was at Indiana, and the Trailblazers came in and cruised to a 10 point win.

Tonight, the Trailblazers are just a 4 point favorite. At home. To a team they beat at their house by 10 points.

If that isn’t enough to get you excited about the Trailblazers in this matchup, I have a few more stats.

The Trailblazers are coming off of a three game stretch on the road, with two wins and a loss. Their fans will be glad to welcome to number two team in their conference home in a huge matchup.

When playing at home, the Trailblazers have found 56% of their wins this season and just a third of their losses. Of their games at home, they have won 73% of the time.

And the Pacers are one of the worst teams on the road. Out of their road games, they have won just half of the time.

We have a clear winner when it comes to playing at home and on the road. You add that to the outcome of the previous matchup, and my choice is clear – I’m taking the Trailblazers to win by more than 4 points.

The books are giving it a -110 payout, meaning a $110 bet pays out $100. If you bet $100 on the matchup, you would win $90.91 if the Portland Trailblazers win by more than 4 points.

Keep in mind, if you can find a better spread, with points under 4, take it. Shop around to make sure you have the best spread possible.

To profitable bets,

Ryan
