UFC 251 on Fight Island: Best Bets, Underdogs, Favorites and Over/Under

Bonus content today on UFC Fight Island battle tonight. With four belts on the line, this is must watch sports entertainment. The matches get going around 6pm EST today, and last through midnight.

Fans around the world, and even non-fans who simply miss competitive action, will be glued to the screens watching these fights playout.

I wanted to give you an edge on the bets for UFC Fight Island so that you are ready to roll tonight.

We’ll have some over/under’s, which favorites to bet on, and an underdog opportunity.

Let’s get started.

UFC Fight Island Starts Now

Jiri Prochazka vs Volkan Oezdemir

Jiri Prochazka and Volkan Oezdemir has the lowest over/under on fight island, and we know why.

Prochazka has 23 finishes in the first round, and exposes himself to being knocked out early too. Under 1.5 rounds is paying +120 and that’s where I’ll place my bet.

We are looking for a quick knockout, and this is the most likely match for it. Oezdemir is the favorite, but has the chance to put Jiri out in the first round.

At +120, a $100 bet will payout $120. If you want to win $100, you only need to bet $84.

Jose Aldo vs Petr Yan

My favorite underdog tonight is Jose Aldo, and not because I think he gets an early knockout, but because i think he can take it the distance.

Aldo has the experience to go toe-to-toe with rising star Petr Yan.

It’s a chance for Jose to grab the Bantam title belt and that hasn’t slipped his mind. He’s coming to play and he’ll be positioned to win in the end as long as he can take it the full five rounds.

Petr Yan will be going for an early TKO or KO, to keep it from going to a decision with the more experienced Aldo.

Sports books are paying out +175 for taking the underdog Jose Aldo to win. A bet of $100 will payout $175. If you want to win $100, you only need to risk just $58.

Max Holloway vs Alex Volkanovski

For my favorite to bank on tonight, I like Alex Volkanovski.

This is a rematch for the featherweight championship. The last one saw Volkanovski win by unanimous decision. Holloway, 21-5, has lost two of his last three fights, all three ending in a decision.

For this one, I’ll take Alex Volkanovski tonight. Hasn’t lost in seven years, while Holloway is struggling in his last three outings.

Picking Alex Volkanovski to win is paying out -200. That means a $100 bet will net you $50. If you want to win $100 off the fight, you’ll need to put up $200.

Jorge Masvidal vs Kamaru Usman

And the grand finale, Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman, is one for the history books already. Masvidal jumped into the spot just days ago.

It also becomes the experienced fighters first title card fight.

Usman is putting it all on the line, for what could amount to UFC’s Rocky Balboa moment. And underdog comes from nowhere (though not off the couch) to have a title shot for the first time.

Both are excellent fighters, but Usman is the clear favorite tonight. I like him to win, but at -260 odds, it’s a tough bet. We know Masvidal can fight, and will not go down easy.

That’s why I’m betting on the over/under. Basically, we just need the fight to end before the final bells sounds at UFC Fight Island. The over/under is at 4.5, with a total of 5 rounds.

Sportsbooks have the under paying -130. That means a $130 bet will payout $100. If you bet $100, you stand to win $76.92 if the fight goes for four rounds or less.
