West Virginia Mountaineers vs Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

The West Virginia Mountaineers will face the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in Morgantown, West Virginia.

West Virginia is the talk of the College Basketball Invitational (CBI).

Remember, this is a tournament that takes schools that didnt qualify for the NCAA tournament, and didnt get an invitation to the NIT (National Invitation Tournament). West Virginia started the year as the 13 best team in the nation.

After injuries and transfers, they quickly fell from favorite, to disappointment.

But they have used that experience from the past, and dramatic decline this season, as motivation to accept the invite to the CBI, and plan to dominate throughout.

West Virginia Mountaineers pulled off some big upsets in the Big 12 tournament. They toppled Oklahoma in the first round and then Texas Tech before losing to Kansas.

For perspective, Oklahoma was a nine seed in the NCAA tournament and survived the first round so far. Texas Tech is a three seed and also advanced past the first round. And Kansas is a four seed, that look likely to lose in the second round.

Never the less, for WVU to beat each of those teams at some point in the season, and still miss a ticket to even the NIT, it is a point of motivation to prove themselves. And the next victim is Coastal Carolina.

We rolled with WVU in the first round of the tournament with a win against Grand Canyon, and we’ll stick with them again.

FanDuel is giving WVU a spread of -9.5, paying -110. That means a $110 bet would pay out $100, or 90.91%. If West Virginia wins by 10 or more, we win the bet. They cruised to a 14 point win over Grand Canyon and can do even better this time.

If you can find a spread lower than 9.5 points, take it. Needing WV to win by fewer points is always better.

To profitable bets,

Ryan
