Saturday catch-up edition. The Eastern Conference Final is in the books, Carolina punched its ticket to the Stanley Cup Final, and the MLB weekend slate is loaded with high-leverage spots from Cubs–Cards on FOX to a Saturday-night doubleheader of West Coast primetime baseball. Let’s get into it.
Weekend Betting Insights
The big story heading into the weekend is the Hurricanes closing out Montreal 6-1 in Game 5 Friday night to wrap the Eastern Conference Final. That sets up a 2026 Stanley Cup Final between the Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes, with Game 1 going down Tuesday June 2 in Raleigh. Series price has settled at Carolina -155, Vegas +125 across BET99 and BetMGM — Carolina’s home-ice and Game 1 chalk (-155 on DraftKings) reflect a confident market.
On the baseball side, the Saturday board is a tactical one. Two of the three biggest games are pitcher-friendly spots — Phillies–Dodgers with Luzardo and Sasaki sets up under the 8.5, and the Yankees keep mashing on the road. Cubs–Cardinals is the FOX national-TV game, and we’ve got our reasons there too.
Sunday rolls into double-LAD day (Yamamoto going) and a Sunday Night Baseball lefty-on-lefty matchup. Charles Schwab Challenge is in the back half at Colonial. We’re staying disciplined and surgical.
Yankees ML at Athletics (-152) — 10:05 PM ET, NBCS-CA/YES

THE PLAY: Lay the chalk with New York. Yankees beat the A’s 8-2 Friday and the lineup — Judge, Bellinger, Rice — has been on a tear. Ryan Weathers (3.14 ERA, LHP) gets the ball against J.T. Ginn, who has already coughed up 4 HRs in 21.2 IP this year.
THE LINE: NYY -152 ML / O/U 8.5
WHY: Yankees are 17-13 on the road. A’s are 10-15 at their temporary Sutter Health Park home where the ball flies. Lefty-vs-righty edge to NYY, and the matchup history against Ginn’s heater is the kind of spot Judge eats. -152 is steep but it’s the right side.
Cubs ML at Cardinals (-134 to -142) — 7:15 PM ET, FOX

THE PLAY: Cubs moneyline on the FOX national TV game. Ben Brown (RHP) has been Chicago’s most consistent young arm, while Andre Pallante has been the Cardinals’ weakest member of the rotation. Chicago’s offense — PCA, Suzuki, Tucker — is a problem.
THE LINE: CHC -134 to -142 (shop the books) / O/U 8.5
WHY: Cubs (31-27) are in fine form and projected ahead at the plate. Pallante’s been hittable in 2026, and the Cubs’ approach against right-handers travels. Hammer the divisional dog-killer spot before Saturday-night drinking-money skews the line.
🔮 Stanley Cup Final Preview Tease

We’ll have the full breakdown on the Vegas Golden Knights vs Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Final dropping Monday, but here’s the quick read going in: Carolina is -155 series chalk with home-ice and a roster built to suffocate Vegas’s heavy forecheck. Vegas at +125 is intriguing — they’ve got Cup pedigree from 2023 and the goalie situation has been stable. Game 1 is Tuesday June 2 in Raleigh, Carolina -155 home favorite, Vegas +130. |
PROP 2 · MLB
Roki Sasaki — Strikeouts
OVER 6.5
Sasaki’s K rate has been his lifeline — Phillies are a top-tier whiff team vs RHP. The splitter is the swing-and-miss pitch.

|
PROP 3 · MLB
Pete Crow-Armstrong — Anytime Hit
YES
PCA’s contact streak has been hot; Cardinals’ pen is vulnerable to his bat profile. Live for Saturday or Sunday.
|
PROP 4 · MLB GAME TOTAL
PHI @ LAD Saturday
UNDER 8.5 (-115)
Luzardo’s been solid and Sasaki misses bats. 8.5 is a soft number when both starters can run pitch counts.
