Weekend Edge: Skenes-Misiorowski Sunday Duel + Yankees Roll DC | July 11-13, 2026

Daily Sports Bets — Weekend Edge, July 11-13, 2026

Last MLB weekend before the All-Star break, and the sharps are already circling. Skenes and Misiorowski headline a Sunday pitchers duel, the Yankees roll into DC on a heater, and Royal Birkdale looms next week for the season’s final major. We are locking in real games and real lines only — no fluff, no fake matchups. Let’s get to work.

Weekend Betting Insights

The final pre-break MLB stretch is where sharp bettors separate from the crowd. Rotations are set for the last time in a while, bullpens are exhausted from the June grind, and every team is chasing a positive record heading into the break. Volatility is up — perfect for value hunting on totals and pitcher props.

On the futures board, the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale tees off Thursday and Scheffler sits at +500 to defend the Claret Jug he won at Portrush. That number feels tight for a guy who has been the best links player on tour this year — but Fleetwood’s hometown angle at Birkdale (+1600) is where I am looking for outright value. And Monday’s Home Run Derby in Philly on Netflix is going to be must-watch — Cal Raleigh at +500 with lefty power in Citizens Bank is the play.

For this weekend, my two featured picks are both grounded in pitching edges — a Sunday marquee arm play and a Saturday moneyline based on rotation and bullpen imbalance. Then four player props to round it out. Let’s get into it.

FEATURED PICK 1 — MLB

Paul Skenes OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-120) — Sunday vs Milwaukee

Featured pick 1 graphic

THE PLAY: Skenes OVER 6.5 K’s, first pitch Sunday 12:15 PM ET at PNC Park.

THE LINE: -120 at DK / FD consensus. -115 available at Caesars.

WHY: Skenes is averaging 8.4 K/9 in 2026 with a filthy slider that Milwaukee’s righty-heavy lineup is going to swing at. Brewers rank bottom-third in team K-rate vs RHP this month, and with Misiorowski on the other side throwing his own 1.47 ERA gem, this game screams low-scoring pitcher’s duel. Skenes gets a long leash from Pittsburgh in a game they need to keep close. Book it.

FEATURED PICK 2 — MLB · LOCK

Yankees ML -161 @ Nationals — Saturday 4:05 PM ET

Featured pick 2 graphic

THE PLAY: Yankees moneyline at Nationals, Saturday afternoon.

THE LINE: -161 at FanDuel / -163 at ESPN. Alt runline NYY -1.5 at +120 for +EV lean.

WHY: Cam Schlittler (9-5, mid-3 ERA) has been one of the more quietly reliable starts in the AL — solid command, keeps pitch counts down. On the other side Miles Mikolas is at 3-7 with a rough 8.53 ERA stretch, and Washington’s bullpen is running a 4.90 xFIP over the last 30 days. The Yankees lineup is finally clicking as they roll into the break, and this is a spot where they should punch the Nats in the mouth early and let Schlittler and the pen close it out. -161 is fair, and the -1.5 at +120 is where the sharp money is going.

Player Props — Weekend Grid

MLB · PITCHER K

Cristopher Sanchez UNDER 6.5 K

Line: -105 · Phillies @ Tigers

Detroit is 5th-lowest K rate vs LHP over the last 30 days. Sanchez pitches to contact — expect a lot of grounders and weak pop-ups.

MLB · TOTAL BASES

Aaron Judge OVER 1.5 TB

Line: -130 · Yankees @ Nationals

Nats staff has an xFIP bump against righties this month, and Mikolas has given up hard contact all season. Judge feasts in this spot.

MLB · PITCHER K

Logan Gilbert OVER 6.5 K

Line: -115 · Mariners @ Rays

Rays lineup is third-most K vulnerable vs high-velo RHP. Gilbert’s fastball plays up in Tropicana Field. Live for 7+.

MLB · PITCHER K

Yamamoto OVER 6.5 K

Line: -105 · Dodgers vs Arizona

Dbacks K rate vs RHP is among the worst in MLB post-June. Yamamoto is stretched out and locked in. Cash it.

Futures / Side Angles

Home Run Derby — Monday, Netflix: Cal Raleigh at +500 is my play. Contact-rate lefty power in Citizens Bank Park is a dream fit — the right-field porch is where lefties eat, and the swing-based scoring format rewards consistent contact. Field is stacked (Acuña Jr, Oneil Cruz, James Wood, Junior Caminero) so this is not a lock, but +500 has real value.

Open Championship at Royal Birkdale — Thu Jul 16: Tommy Fleetwood at +1600 is where I am putting my futures dollars. Birkdale is his hometown track, he has finished top-10 at the last two Opens, and his current form (8th at the Scottish last week) is trending in the right direction. Scheffler at +500 is the chalk and I will not fault anyone taking him, but +1600 on Fleet at Birkdale is a lottery ticket you should absolutely be holding.
